This is probably my favourite watch. Whilst adjusting the hands the winder and stem (?) came out.

As far as I can see the stem does not look broken, so it has disconnected somehow.
A look inside the case back dissuaded me from having a experimental explore!

Does the stem still look OK? Anyone suggest a competent watch maker who could deal with these movement?

    Hi,

It does not seem broken. I guess it is a Landeron movement. If it is the case, anyway parts are easy to find and are not expansive.

If the stem has just come off because the setting lever was no longer well screwed, it is a very easy fix. If something broke in the keyless system it will require more work.

In both cases, if the watch has not been serviced for a long time, it could be a good idea to give it a full service.

Many thanks for your reply and also to "red crowned" who sent me the attached diagram.

I ground a tiny screwdriver and it worked!

The watch is now working fine.

    Many thanks to you both.
