Espresso time aimlessly viewing eBay.

Excerpt from an Ebay advert, just in case the prospective buyer has any confusion from the photos the seller emphasises the watch is round and tells the time.

This vintage OMEGA Seamaster Calendar Automatic Caliber 503 blue sunbrush Dial Stainless steel wristwatch is a luxury timepiece for men.
The watch has a round shape with a stainless steel case material and a snap down caseback.

It has a 36. 6mm case size and displays analogue time

They probably forgot to mention that the dial had been refinished in their detailed description. 🙄

I always get a laugh reading all those too-similar descriptions. AI at its finest! Or at least I think that is it.

I thought it was AI, UK sale so doubt it's a translation issue.

Maybe covering the bases, just incase he sells to a new "Gen"( whatever they are called) and they can't read analogue only digital.

You never know. Although arturo has a point, those terms would help on a product search.

These AI descriptions are cropping up more and more on eBay. Utter generic nonsense which tells you nothing about the specific watch.

Perhaps you should start a new thread to get a response to your questions.

Good day Omega experts...
My Calendars are both Analogue 😀 and am cross-posting--'cause I'm an elderly newbie...
I arrived here after searching for info on my Omega Seamaster Calendar with Calibre 503 and 19 jewels (SS case, pink gold-capped, unusual Lance hands).
Can anyone tell me please what jewel counts the Cal 503 was supplied with? The 20-jewel variant is perhaps more frequently seen--but from whereabouts in my19-jewel movement did Omega delete that one jewel?
Also, what do you think about these unusual lumed Lance/Alpha hands--could they be original--the minute hand seems short, and Calendars are usually seen with Dauphine (dagger) hands?
BTW, the watch has been serviced since these images--it now has the correct Omega crown, crystal with date magnifier and re-lumed hands (as well as a new hour wheel that was causing issue with date advance).
Thank you very much indeed! Mike
I’m a newbie too, and my suggestion to give your questions a proper answer is to create a new thread with a good thread title

Hi, thank you for the absolutely correct suggestion. However, I couldn't see how to either create a new thread or find a FAQ (and that isn't because I'm elderly or new). I was surprised I could even post a message plus images.
Thank you for your kind advice and help. Mike (post removed)

I collect Bulova Accutrons. Here's a description I found: Outrageous, but funny!!!!

Indulge in the timeless allure of the Accutron Bulova a resplendent masterpiece that transcends the bounds of horological innovation. This extraordinary timepiece stands as a testament to Bulova's pioneering spirit representing one of the inaugural forays into the realm of electric watches. A paragon of rarity it is cloaked in the richness of solid 14-karat yellow gold a regal embrace that extends seamlessly across the case back and crown elevating the allure of horological craftsmanship to new heights. Among the pantheon of electric watches this particular model stands as a luminary distinguished by the coveted Day-Date feature - a pioneering attribute that heralds its significance in the annals of timekeeping history. The dial a mesmerizing curvex reminiscent of Pie Pan aesthetics ensnares the gaze with its golden square markers adorned with a delicate touch of Black enamel along the periphery evoking an air of opulence and refinement. The architecture of this rare masterpiece defies convention with its distinctive lugs an uncommon spectacle that captivates the discerning eye. Encased within an extra-large cushion shape from the 1960s the watch exudes an aura of sophistication its vintage allure preserved immaculately in a state of perpetual newness. The ensemble is completed with a bespoke touch - a light brown honey-colored crocodile strap meticulously double-stitched to embody a sense of understated luxury. This Accutron Bulova transcends mere timekeeping; it is a symphony of rarity and design an exquisite manifestation of horological artistry that remains unparalleled. To wear it is to immerse oneself in a unique narrative of elegance and distinction an embodiment of an era frozen in the golden embrace of 14-karat excellence.

It used to be funnier when you knew that someone spent a good 30 minutes writing this crap. Now that AI is doing it, the magic is gone

Notes for nerds: I believe that the Accutron is an electronic watch, which is technically different than an electric watch. But, they are also round and tell analog time 😀

Sadly, it's because this is now the default when you make a listing, it prefills all this AI junk and then you have to fix it. Not fun.

I had no idea. That’s honestly quite sad.

It may be a setting. Mine does not give me AI by default, I have to click a button to see the what the AI version would be.

You're right, my bad, but it does come up with lots of prefilled data and a big "Have AI write your post for you" in the intro and a button.
