    My Constellation arrived yesterday!
it is even more phenomenal in the metal than I could ever have hoped for.
-and after what I previously said about swapping out the BoR bracelet for a leather strap..... there's no way that's going to happen.
the bracelet is incredibly nice -and so well articulated that it feels 'soft' to the touch.
-it is of course far too big as I suspected it would be -so I will have to have links taken out (how do you measure how many links you need to remove? -its at least two)
the nice surprise is that I was expecting it to be a cal 561 but this evening I've discovered that it has a quickset date -so it must be a cal 564 -which is what I wanted all along (this was after spending an age winding it on almost a full month yesterday to set the date)
I can't take the back off at the minute so don't have serial or case numbers or know whether it is a 'modified' version.
back to blighty in a few days and then it will be sent off for some T&C.

Congrats! I see what you mean with the bracelet. Luckily, it's easy to swap with a strap if you fancy a change.

Nice looking combination. Those little crowns are a pain to wind and set the date. All the more reason to wear it after the service:)

    Cheers, Chris

I agree with the looks of the BOR. I would keep them on compared to a strap. Just my 2cents thou.

you're telling me -I thought my fore-finger and thumb were about to start bleeding by the time I'd finished winding it through 20-odd days -then I found the quickset date -eeh-aw!

I don't know what the 7-bead bracelets are like (I think peatnick's above is a 7-bead ?) but the 9-bead version on my new watch really is soft to the touch -like chain mail. I had planned swapping it for leather but now I'm a complete convert -just got to get the little beggar reduced for my pathetically skinny wrists.
