It's a computer, Jim, but not as we know them.

It's an "E6-B Flight Computer" -- and came apart when I tried to remember how use it :(

The aluminium Degree wheel should be glued to the transparent plastic disc and both seated in the Variation / Wind Angle holder below. Looks as if the 45 year old glue wasn't too good. Maybe I should use Gorilla Glue and it'll be good to go flying again.

It's not Kirk, it's some old dude!
    And Ohura is flat-chested!
I think Putin's behind this, he has watches.

I thought the E6-B was a variant of the Intruder.

This is a E-6B Mercury, which is a derivative of the Boeing 707.

It was, but as an EA6-B. The four seat Prowler EW platform.

I always loved the Intruder. Hell of a weapons platform in it's day.

When I was working on the NYSE trading floor I'd receive guests of all types. One day there was a group that included a very squared away Naval aviator. Dress whites, ramrod straight, very attentive and eager to take it all in. After showing these folks what we did and how we did it, this aviator remarked that he was in awe of what we did. When I asked him what he did, his reply was that he flew Intruders off a carrier. All weather, day or night. And HE was impressed by US??? If I screw up, somebody loses some money. And I get more chances the next day to make it up. On a real bad day somebody might use harsh language on me. He had over 100 night traps on carriers. When his group left the NYSE it was my turn to be impressed. I had to sit down and think about it. The fact that we at the NYSE were able to do what we did, make obscene amounts of money, and go home at night to our families in the suburbs, is due to men (and women) like this aviator protecting our way of life. I remain in awe of these warriors every day.
