Italian Cream Dial or Mitsukoshi Panda Dial Availability

I heard from a watch industry person I know that Omega cut off the supply of these dials and possibly the corresponding hand sets. Is this true? I did an ebay search yesterday, and did not see anything there either, other than an original snoopy replacement dial that was almost a thousand dollars.

I have a modded Italian 3572.50 and Mitsukoshi Panda, 3570.50, and a spare Italian dial as well as a used silver rhodium dial. But I don't have any spare hand sets, which I believe are more prone to breaking during service.

It makes me feel a little nervous that I won't be able to get replacements in the future.

    Any thoughts?

Depends what you mean when you say they cut off supply. The parts are still being made, but Omega no longer sells parts into the open market to third party resellers of parts.

    Hello Archer,

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, that's what I meant. So if I needed a new Mitsukoshi dial for my panda modded 3570.50 and took it to Omega, they will not provide one, correct?

No. Omega does not condone these modded watches, so if you took it to them, they will convert it back.

    Got it. That's too bad.

I guess all of us modders will just have to ask our watchmakers to be extra careful when servicing our modded watches.

At worst, our modded watches go back to their original state, which is not the end of the world.

Omega wants to stop this sort of thing:
