Is it just that I'm looking at it on an iPhone or is that dial "patchy"?

Most likely the "patchy" effect you're seeing is due to reflections in the crystal. The locations of the darker and lighter areas aren't consistent, so the photos were probably taken in a non-controlled lighting environment.

I thought the same, in some photos the dial looks brown but in others looks OK - I'd ask the seller for better photos. Price seems on the high side too of course, but then why not test the market with this one

Another one popped up for sale, however it doesnt look like original Italian. Looks like dial/hands replacement, or at least I think it is, as caseback is regular run of the mill, and not LE special edition numbered like Italian in OP has

Yeah, description states that the dial and hands were added later, meaning this one is probably a 3572 or newer exhibition back model. Considering the originals don't seem to be included, I'd think the value will be affected but we'll see

This looks like an early run of the 3572 / late run of the 3592 with the 18 jewel gilt movement and the later "First Watch" caseback. The Italian LE's all had the rhodium 1863 movement - which is REALLY early for the first run of 1863's (1997).

Agreed--the other photos imply that it's just the lighting.

And it's in line with what I have seen over the last 18 month - all the offers (have seen 7-8) were in the range of 8.5 - 10.5k

That one has a 1998 warranty card. Looks like mid-90's fare. In fact the 1995 to 2005 has become my favourite Omega production era.

Lots of top-notch and unique innovations and watches came thru this generation.

Nowadays everything is a MOTM or some sort of XXOTM non-metal strap variation.

Patches on the dial are reflections. Dial is uniform in colour, I asked the seller...
