Hi , My brother in law stumbled across this speedmaster in Italy and knowing my intrest in them , he contacted me. Now , i would like to know what you think. The seller is asking 3200 euros which seems like a good deal but the pictures that he sent doesn’t help. Case ref 145.022-71 and serial 3283xxxx which is correct I am not sure if the Dial is stepped, in some of the pictures it appears stepped in other appears regular. Painted logo. Bezel is a DN90 with the dropped serif but the A in Tachymetre doesn't have a flat top so is it a later replacement? Hands appear to be tritium but can't see any aging so they are replacement or painted? Case is correct with stamped medallion, pushers look original, crown looks original too. There is a big dent in the bezel at 10 o'clock. Bracelet seems like an original 1171? Case looks pretty sharp? The seller is either a non skilled photography or he is trying to hide something. Thank you
Hi, I agree with you. I don't see the spepped dial, the bezel is more recent anf the bracelet is a recent service Omega 1171/633. I do not like it at all ...
Dial is '80s, bezel is mid- '90s, hands look replaced as well perhaps around the time of the dial. I'm not into this one, certainly not for 3200 EUR.
Speedmaster font on the dial alone shows it is not a correct dial regardless of step. @abrod520 is correct on his dating of parts. I agree watch is over priced by a fair margin.
The hands as well as already mentioned. I don't find this one pretty, which although it varies from person to person, is an important factor for me. Good luck with your hunt
