My Omega Archive extract arrived yesterday and I took some time today to frame it.

Omega customer service is really top notch I have to say. Hit a little speed bump and Omega USA sorted it no problem. Really fine folks over there, and I couldn't be happier. Ariel Morel from OmegaUSCS took good care of me. I've just purchased an Omega Aqua Terra so it seems maybe there is a trend developing here.

I think the extract adds a little color to the history of this old 30.

Hong Kong was firmly under GB at that time so I'm sure they'd have differentiated between HK and mainland China. Gives the watch a little mystique I think.

What is the lag time for receipt?

 

They say you can't order one from the US but it's a small disclaimer on the site and I overlooked it until I had completed the order. Also, I didn't recieve an email receipt for the transaction. Enter Omega USCS. They assured me it was all in order and that it'd be on it's way. So, that said, officially the answer is no but mine came in about 4 weeks.

After reading the PAF thread, I got to wondering, did China ever equip their militar with Omegas? Not saying mine has any sort of military provenance but it could explain the 1964 Chinese delivery
