Ya I kept full insurance but I drove that car all over New England racking up the miles. The insurance adjuster said it takes 14 days of the car being by by until they start calculating the money. I don’t think I’ll get a lot due to the miles fortunately I put a chunk aside especially for a car and called in a kinda decent amount of money my brother owes me. I was just pricing Tesla and some of the newer Lincoln’s.

Am I correct that the car mark has cooled a bit? I’m not going to say prices are “cheap” but the seem a little normalized after that major run up a few years back. I’d rather buy low miles used as you drive that new car off the lot it loses value like a new Tag Heur.

I’m just peaking as I am so far out of the car game I really had no idea. I had just seen a cool microbrand watch I wanted to slip in its very sleek saw it on Reddit but ok I pledge now no watches until car taken care of. Unless it’s an amazing deal. I am accepting offers for amazing deals, be it a car or a watch.

I very much appreciate the cool feedback. I really was at a loss this AM every single comment assisted me processing this uncool event and I am indebted to you all.

Yes thirty days or a cash amount. I was gonna pick it up today but the adjuster said if I pick it up too early he may have trouble keeping me in it. So it official starts 48 hrs after your is ripped the adjuster said it may benefit to wait another day but I’m buried at work and now life in general.

I feel your pain😭. I had my first really good car stolen about 35 years ago, a VW Golf GTI mark 2, it was my pride and joy, I’d saved up for a couple of years to buy it. I remember the sense of utter disbelief when I returned to where I had parked it and there it was, GONE. I was stunned.
The car was recovered a couple of weeks later, not too badly damaged, side window and steering lock smashed and the license plates removed. I fixed it up but I had lost all feeling for it, the sense of violation was just too much, so I moved it on, fortunately I was able to sell it without much loss but I have never forgotten the experience.
I hope all works out ok👍.

Wasn’t a car, but in May 2015 I walked out to this cut chain and missing motorcycle. A year old CBR1000RR that I got for half of new retail price. 800 miles on it. Chained to the I beam under the carport, behind a streetlight. Insurance paid after 20 days.

I’m noticing the inconveniences are so profound I have little time for other emotions. Anger pops in but I refrain from wishing ill on the thief’s.
It has hit the absurd now I drove my wife to work in her car, had a break down. The thief’s have my good jack and tools so I did a roadside repair by hand. I hope to get the rental today this is just too much but as many of the posts above point out people unfortunately have to deal with this everyday. Nothin left to do but smile smile smile.

F-ck , now this really sucks!!! I am sorry!! 😡😡
Ha ha thanks but I’m just keeping a running tab. I’ve been in much worse positions so I’m kind of just rolling with it. Actually I’m glad I was driving my wife to work in her car as she would not have been able to do the quick rig I did. Every silver lining has a touch of grey or whatever saying best fits.

In a number of months this will just be another story in a life full of good bad and mediocre events.
I got this new client at work who has a prosthetic leg. She is coming up on a year and a half with it. She has these crying spells as she gets hit with these bouts of “phantom pain” in her non existent shin and foot. Although not “real” her brain is telling her it is so fiction becomes reality. I mean really how bad do I have it. I liked that car but boo hoo it’s gone what can I do. I started a little online car shopping and it looks like the car market has cooled a bit. I’m not saying they are cheap just not crazy prices which was what a year or two ago?

I don’t wish this on anyone but the sky isn’t falling the world isn’t ending. In thirty days or so I’ll have new wheels but I am having a series of negative events I do find puzzling. I was trying to think if I did something to earn bad karma but I have not done anything particularly bad to anyone, if I did you and happen to read this I deeply apologize. Call off this curse.
