I had a 2503.52 about 3 years ago for a short time (flipped towards another watch wanted) and later the Rolex Explorer in both 39 (214270 MK1 with WG 3 6 9; first) and 36 mm sizes (114270; last), which left my collection when consolidated several pieces towards a Rolex WG Daydate 18239. Ever since had been looking at the various new iterations of the Railmaster (40 mm with brown, silver and denim dials and the 60th anniversary version) as well as the Rolex 214270 MK2 (lumed 3 6 9) as potential candidates for a "new" 3 6 9 watch, but none of them had, in my opinion, the charm (and the sleek / thin profile) of the older caliber 2403 series. I originally started to look for a 36 mm as wanted to try the smaller size this time (my wrist is 7 inches but pretty round) but since they are very hard to source decided to jump on a nice full set 2503.52 that recently became available. I'm very pleased to have a RM back on my rotation :), but since its arrival all my other watches are pissed!

    Here on its steel bracelet:

which was quickly (for now) replaced with an OEM Omega alligator band kept from my gone 2503.33.00 AT (which understand is the exact model used on the railmaster leather band version, 2803.52.37):

Lovely full lumed dial, which can't be matched by the Explorer ;)

I will keep looking for a 36 mm RM (2504.52) to compare sizes on my wrist, but pretty sure that a caliber 2403 RM will be on rotation for a long time :)

Looks great...I think you should stop there and move on.
I too went through the same thought process...I wish that Omega wouldn't released so many size options as I almost went pyscotic trying to decide between 36 and 39mm versions until finally selling both and settling (very happily, I must add) with the Trilogy Railmaster which is in between at 38mm.
Now I'm fighting the paranoia that my 39mm is too large and I should trade down for a 36mm Explorer....aaaarrrrhhhh!!!!!!

I think this design kicks the ass of the current RM version, such a shame it's no longer available new, but fairly attainable on the secondd hand market at least. I agree with the above, definitely one of my favorite modern Omegas as well (alongside the 2017 blue dial AT).

Thanks to all! Today wearing it on Snoopy band:

seems to go well with multiple bands, which adds flexibility :)

Looks good! Love it on the bracelet, personally, but that Snoopy strap looks really good with the white stitching... does go well with multiple things.

I love the 2503 dimensions and the 2500 movement has never disappointed me either. Shame the prices keep going up on these railmasters but I guess there are some good reasons for that..
It would be hard for me to part ways with my 2503.33!

Thanks to Kringkily was able to source a 36 mm 2504.52 Railmaster and do the comparison that I wanted:

The 36 mm won the contest and the 39 already left to a new home! :)

Here the 36 on the First Omega in Space OEM barenia band (reference 98000541, 19/16 with Omega buckle)

and here on the Planet Ocean 39.5 mm black rubber / leather 19/18 mm deployant band, reference RUZ005421:
