Not enough detail in photo to tell about the dial. Suspect it will climb in last second. Buy because you want it, not because it is cheap

Would buy because I like it but can't find it on Omega site when I type in the number.

Yeah, the number that the seller described is likely the serial, not the case number. It looks like a clean watch, and I have a feeling it's original.

Been watching that one myself. I can't tell if the back of the lugs are stainless (meaning it's gold capped and correct for the period when the watch has a stainless caseback) or gold (which is not correct because the caseback would be plated gold too).

I think it's gold, but not sure. You might want to ask the seller. My Globemaster has gold lugs and a SS caseback, but it's one of those American cases.

The US cases don't follow the rules for Swiss cases. Looks like Swiss markings on the inside of the caseback of the eBay watch.

First row of printing inside the back CARRURE-LUNETTE. Meaning the center case/bezel.

The second row of printing PLAQUE OR G XX MICRONS. XX being the the thickness of gold plating in microns, typically 20, 40 or 80.

So, a base metal case in gold plate with a stainless steel back.

These are more common than one might think, similar cases were used on SM 600s as well some Geneves in the 1960s.

Thanks for the details. If the pictures were a little better and larger we might have seen them - how did you discern what it said?

Looks like a Swiss cased watch as X350 says. Note that this is a reserve auction, so there is no guarantee that the seller will sell for a reasonable price.

    Good luck,

I've had these and similar Swiss micron plated Omegas over the years and except for the positioning of the printing the text is all the same.

Note that these do not wear nearly as well as a gold capped or gold filled case, which would have in excess of 200 microns of gold.
