    hi,

I'm new to the world of vintage Omegas and have been watching the privates sales here and eBay for my first purchase... Which has been a lesson in patience.

I came across this model today and know that I don't have the knowledge to determine its legitimacy... Price gives me concern and that I haven't seen a Quartz one like this before (though I'm only in my infancy with these watches).

I know you all get a lot of these inquiries, but would someone tell me if it is fake or real? If real, why the lack of interest?

Would love to learn more. Thanks!

Not only do I believe it's a real watch, I believe it's a real Omega MD 196.0281. Need to see inside the case back to confirm. I believe @ulackfocus can explain the lack of interest. There's a thread on another site about the same model.

Yeah, it might, just maybe, have to do with the battery powering it. Maybe. :D
