Hi guys! I need some help!

I've been wanting a discreet vintage Omega since about 4 years, and just now I've come across what I've been looking for (I once saw a gorgeous vintage Omega on a girl that my friend was dating, and has been looking for something similar since). But I'm very new to this, so I would love it if someone would help me judge if this is an authentic watch or a fake!

I've been checking some lists for warning signs, and I can't find anything that screams fake. But as I said, I have no experience with this, so I ask for your help!

This is the photos I've been sent from the seller.
Is this a good buy, or am I being cheated?
I think the watch is lovely, but I do not support the industry of fake watches and would not want to have one, even if it looked good.

If you would help me, I would be so appreciative!
    Thank you!

The big question here is are you male or female as that is a small women's watch from the 1950s. When I say small I mean really small, probably somewhere between 15 and 18mm diameter

Woman's cocktail watch. Not ideal for a bloke and sadly not all that popular with women these days either.

Hi again! I'm a woman, and I'm aware that the watch is small!

Don't mind the natives, some of them don't see many women in their day to day.

Overall the watch looks good but the hands and crown (winder) have been replaced with incorrect versions. You can see the specs of this reference here: https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-seamaster-omega-ko-2908

One good thing for you, these watches are not fashionable. Women's watched are hard to sell. As a result, they are really cheap. That watch at auction wouldn't bring over £50. Add £100-150 for the service and allow the dealer a little profit plus his overheads... and that will give you an idea of what you want to be paying.

Edit: scratch the comments about the hands being changed... they are more likely correct on a second look.

That’s an early ladies’ Seamaster from around 1958.

Crown looks correct. There should be an Omega symbol on it.

Looks like real deal to me.

Looks correct and original to me as well.

How much are they asking for it?

Put it on a nice lizard strap after getting it serviced and you're all set to go.

Looks nice, I don't see any problems with it either. The bracelet will go directly into the circular file.

Thank you all for your kind help!
It's a private auction and right now I'm the only bidder on ~45 dollars (in my local currency), and I'm willing to go as high as 80.
Three days left, so I keep my fingers crossed!

If I could just ask you one more thing, please?

When I look at https://www.omegawatches.com, the dial (the hands and the hour markers) looks more like a 2967 than a 2908.
Is that odd? And if it is - is that a reason to not buy the watch?

I'm a bit nervous about doing something wrong, and would be so grateful to have some more experienced opinions on this!

    Thank you!

Many Omega references came with various dial/hands combinations, and the database typically illustrates only one variant (at the most). You would need to search the internet to find other variants, and since ladies' models are not as collectible, there is not as much information available. I see no problem with the watch you are considering. However, for the record, the hands are not like either of the photos you have attached from the database. Both of those show Dauphine hands and the watch you are considering has Alpha hands.
