Is this the seventies-est watch on the internet?

Some super examples already posted, but my idea of an archetypal Seventies watch/strap remains this Lanco, and I've been seeking one without success for years:

I'm coming to grips with the fact that I really like orange in watches, which is not something I knew about myself. Not only re: the OP watch in this thread, but I also seriously toyed with the TH Aquaracer before realizing I didn't actually care for the watch itself so much as the color profile. That may be some vestigial 70s thing itself, as I feel like orange is the color most associated with that decade. (If you don't believe me, just google "1970s color.")

Quite agree - orange is definitely a Seventies colour. I especially like three cars from early that decade, which, finished in the hue, are to me very emblematic of the era. (BMW offered two versions: Colorado- a bit too yellow, and, fantastically intense, Inka.)

And probably my favourite watch is my Speedy 3570.40, partly due I think to the orange points of detail and hence my choice of Hirsch strap on which to wear it. Still hanker after that Lanco though!

Can I win this thread? I think I can.
Here's my contender: a Navy Time, Shock Tested Rubens. Just look at it!
How on earth are you supposed to use the tachymeter(if it is original to the watch to begin with)?
Keep rotating the bezel until whatever you want to time stops?
Actually a rotating tachymeter bezel is a great design for a watch with no chrono

Thought I’d join the party with some cheap&cheerful 70s ludicrousness.

Just dusted this one off from the purgatory drawer and threw it on a BOR- I kind of actually like it now!

I just can't help myself sometimes. Saw this on eBay after posting about another one earlier in the thread. I pinged the guy who seems to be an authority on these things (https://www.facebook.com/70sWatchesGallery/) and he reckoned it all checks out... even said there aren't many Fortis ones left.

FWIW, I picked up this cracker of a book for £14 on Books Etc - also available on Amazon:

It's got some absolute howlers in there. Must. stop. looking.

Check out the 60mm Desotos "Cuff Buster" 😲

I'm surprised the Zenith Defy hasn't popped up yet.
Agreed, no Seventies-off is complete with it. But as a boy in that decade, I was fully aware even then it was the time that style forgot; in later years, seeing the "Spaceman" execution hurt almost more than knowing I had missed out on Hendrix and the Beatles. I think I prefer the Fortis Spaceman above, frankly!
(This sort of thing is probably why I spend too much on 1950s/60s pieces...)

The gauntlet has been picked up... but, you really found an incredible example. I put these up for your consideration and vote.
