I'm chatting with an eBay seller about his 36mm Pre-Bond. It's a beater. It would be a restoration project and the watch would be given to a family member.

He says it sports the ETA 255.561, which I believe is the equivalent of the Omega 1441.

Provided pic is blurry in just the wrong place. I don't think he's doing it on purpose. All his pics are sh*t.

I just want to be sure I am buying the real deal. Not a copy. Everything about the watch looks genuine.

Would appreciate some feedback so I can pull the trigger (or not).

Can't see a problem with it, the only thing missing is the branding on the plate which is no big deal. Omega, Longines and others used this movement and simply added their brand to the movement.

I can't see anybody going to the trouble of faking an ETA movement to that degree of accuracy when cheap Chinese movements can be bought by the kilo for a few bucks.

That's what I was thinking. I just wanted to make sure my thinking was logical and not whimsical.

    Thanks :)
