    Hey guys,

I was just making my weekly rounds through the ads and found this. Screen Shot 2017-12-08 at 7.28.11 PM.png Screen Shot 2017-12-08 at 7.29.23 PM.png

Is this something unique enough to demand a premium over a normal speedmaster professional? I think it is some 40th anniversary edition. What do you guys think is a fair price? The seller is asking 2500. Also, does it look authentic to you? Thanks in advance.

Actually, now that I've looked at some of the details a little closer, it looks like a fake. If something is too good to be true, it probably is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯...

The length of the minute hand appears to be too short if you look at the second picture... Oh well...

Looks legit to me. Not one of the most popular references though. So premium? Not for me.

2500 seems a good price to me - I have one I bought for a little less, and I use it with a smart black leather strap as my daily work wearer - it’s smart enough but different enough to the standard Speedy, whilst also not being too blingy or too expensive to risk wearing...

Thanks for your input. So you don’t think it looks fake? Or Am i just overreacting about the hand length??

From the limited photos it looks ok...Here are two photos of mine - depending on the angle the photo is taken at, on the first the minute hand looks short on the second it looks fine:

I would also do the usual sensible checks and stuff including:
    - the serial number in the back matches the cards and movement if possible
    - the limited edition number on the back case matches the certificate
    - but it on your credit card so you have some protection (even if paying by PayPal, and don’t send it as F&F is paying by PayPal)
    - and do your due diligence on the seller..

The angle of the photo hid the red top of the seconds hand. Looks legit to me.

2500 is a great price for any Speedmaster... I'm pretty sure the watch is real, but is the seller? Make sure they actually have the watch before sending them any money.

Thanks for checking this out, now I have to wait for the seller to respond to my message. If I do end up pursuing this, I’ll probably meet the guy in person, even if he is 4 hours away, I don’t feel comfortable getting anything shipped from Craigslist....

Also be sure to meet him in a very public place, preferably a bank or police station. Do not meet him at his home or anywhere far away from lots of people and law enforcement.

Lol... I find that the best deals can be found on Craigslist with enough research and patience...
