    Hi.

Can anybody please authenticate this speedmaster 2218.50.00?
Attaching a photo of its back.
I am also attaching pictures of similar watch posted on-line.
    I noticed two things:
    1. The clasp of my watch has a number 952.
    2. The back, however, only has the engraved Planet Ocean. I noticed in other pictures posted of the watch, their back have both Planet Ocean & Professional 600M/2000Ft.
    3. However, too, there are other later or newer models of the Planet Ocean - I am not too knowledgeable of the watch -
without the Professional 600M/2000Ft engraved andwith clasp number 951.

So, is my 2218.50.00 authenticate citing the above observations?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

The watch in question does not seem to be authentic. A few things I spot right away...

    1. The end links on the bracelet should be numbered 953
    2. The back of the lugs should be polished not brushed
    3. The pushers and crown are wrong (the grooves on these is different from the original)
    4. The hippocampus looks a bit different than the original.
    5. The bracelet clasp should be engraved vs etched. I believe this is only etched on some Titanium Omegas.

Any other questions feel free to ask!

    Thanks for your inputs.
As to the end links numbered 952 - there are end links numbered 952 on some seamaster models, isn't it?
I think, though, they are endlinks for 42mm. The 2218.50.00 is 45.5mm, isn't it?
I am more particular in the inscription - Professional 600m/2000ft; they are not on this 2218.50.00 but there are also other Planet Ocean Seamasters without it.
Would you like to comment on this?

    Hi again,

Non chronos are the ones that use the 952 end links, these end links do not fit on the chronograph model. In addition, the inscription on the case back for all chronograph models should say "Professional 600m/2000ft". The one you show without that inscription is not a chronograph model.

It is my opinion that the watch you are asking about is not authentic... Not even a little bit.

And it's definitely not a speedmaster (Re: thread title)
