Is this real or redialed Franken?

Hello this is my first post! A friend of mine bought this watch and i am no Omega expert but i am not sure this is correct. The serial dates the watch around 1934, and the movement is a CAL. 38.5LT. Think it's a converted pocket watch, i think Omega never had a 9 o'clock subdial? The second hand is blue the other hands are black is that original? The dial itself looks like an old Omega Medicus, same color and it really looks old.

He paid 650 euro's and i was wondering if that price is correct. And if that is not correct what would be the correct price. Any help would be very much appreciated!

No good.... be very suspicious of watches with the sub dial at the "9" position.

Thank you all for your input so far. So in percentage... How sure is this a 'no good'? Like a 90%?

That depends on how you define ‘no good’. But this watch is 100% a franken likely with some fake parts.

As for its value, if your friend paid 650Euros I guess that is what it is worth to somebody. But if you listed that watch for sale on here or on most other watch forums it would not sell - even if priced at 100euros.

In summary - your friend has made a mistake buying this watch.

Perhaps 'your friend' can return the watch on the basis it is fake/franken and get a refund, in full or in part.

I have never seen an Omega with a sub-dial at 9 o´clcok. I will join the other input and conclude it´s a franken - in a bad shape.

This is an old pocket watch movement placed in a third party case at some point. The dial appears to be made up. The serial is about 1934, watches that did exist at that point looked nothing like this watch. Watches did not really become common till around WWII.

these are common on eBay and normally out of Eastern Europe. They have little to no value to collectors.

I'm feeling sorry for your "friend of mine" it's really bad. But happens often to noobs, learn from it and do better next time. We are happy to help, before you do another purchase.👍

Yeah this really sucks. So... Is there anything Omega on this watch? Is the movement the only Omega part? The hands, case, dual, crown all are after market?
