Hi Everyone this is my first post on this forum. I really want a new watch that looks classy, so i thought Omega. Can Someone tell me If this is Real? He says it's from about 1979 But has No Papers Or box. He also says that it's gold plated, Thank you Everyone for Reading hope you Will help Me.
The watch is real and appears to be in good condition. The crown has seen more wear than the case. It is a ref. 136.0104 with cal. 1030 and I'd date the year of production to the mid 70s. You should try to get pictures of the inside to verifiy this.
He says he doesn't have any and dont want to Destroy anything. Now i found Another watch that i would appreciate a legit check on. Here, also please How much is a watch Like this worth? And What watch would you choose? It's really hard for Me to choose. He says that this watch is 100micron rosa goldplated and that it's a rare bullet dial, Can anyone Confirm and answer all this? Thank you a lot
If you want help, you'll need to provide better information. Read this: https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-omega-posting-guide.383/
I think that the first watch is most likely ok. So if you are able to return the watch in case it's not legit or matching and the price is right, then buy it. Otherwise I've got the feeling that you should do some 'real' research on your own and spend some efforts to make up your mind on what you are looking for. That's the only way to find the 'real' watch. The watch you have now added to your ask list isn't this watch. It's a poor redial.
Seems Like I'm going for The 1st one But OMEGuy you Said The first one was legit so i Can buy without a problem right? Thank you Everyone for The answers also
I never bought a watch without seeing the inside, unless the price point was safe in a way that I could calculate in parts value. You were asking for opinions. I told you I guess the watch is totally fine. But it's clear I can't guarantee that without seeing what's under the hood. If it helps, from my own experience, watches that look like this one are usually legit inside as well.
As for the second one you posted, the dial has been refinished and the crown looks to be incorrect. I would avoid unless it is a killer deal, as in under 200USD.
Thank you for all The responses. I am between a Seamaster Or a Genéve, What would you Guys choose? I Like looks of both.
I would recommend you spend some time here and keep an eye on the Private Sales Forum. This is the safest way to avoid making a mistake as a newbie!
I Will indeed. I'm Not a gut that knows a ton about watches, i just want a Beautiful watch. Bu In general Whats Best a Geneve Or seamaster?
