I have an old Seamaster which appears to have a solid gold case, but while I have owned it for at least 15 years I know almost nothing about it. The dial is exceptionally clean, but appears to be original (not refinished) and the hands look like they match. I had it serviced about 10 years ago, by a local watchmaker, who could offer no opinion on whether it was all original. A check of the serial number suggests that it's from approx 1968 and I have been able to find similar watches from that era, although subtly different and bearing the COSMIC text in addition to Seamaster.
The crystal does not have the Omega logo, as far as I can see, but the watchmaker confirmed that it is the correct shape to secure the bezel. I have removed the caseback and taken a few photos. Any information would be appreciated.

I am also including a pic of a random dial that has been floating about my parts box for ages - does anyone know what movement this is for? It has short, stubby dial feet at (slightly past) 56 & 26 mins.

Yes, hallmarks indicate 9 ct gold, London Assay Office, 1971 and Omega Watch Company OWC as the sponsor mark.

I don't know who the maker is though, haven't seen that "S" mark before.

The 27 million serial was used in low production numbers up until 1970.

    Thanks for all the responses.

Does that mean that the watch wasn't delivered from Omega in this form, or was the case produced for Omega?

I is an OK Omega. Sadly it has been almost polished to death. Here is what it should look like:
