It looks pretty ok but hard to tell. I think there is something wrong with the lumin on the hands, look like refinished. Its out on ebay.... Please help
Its funny how you can't really appreciate how small that watch is until you see it next to a SM300 or Speedmaster from that era, then it looks sort of cute by comparison.
Be aware that some eBay sellers over expose and use too much light to hide flaws, especially on the dial. I've run across it twice personally - once from a South American seller, once from an Eastern European seller.
Ok i see i have been looking for à watch like this for à long time. The problem is that there are nerly any original rancheros left. Often is something not ranchero parts, or something missing or is refinished. I want an complete original one.
That's the problem with many vintage Omegas. If there's money to be made, there's games to be played.
Looks about as good as you can get to me. Compare with this Ranchero, sold on another forum: http://market.watchprosite.com/?show=collection.detail&id=129463&brandview=Omega&mod=&series= Ranchero,* Ranchero, white dial, CK 2990-1, year 1958&p=Omega Ranchero,* The seller is a very respected collector and that watch had an Omega Extract from the Archives. If the price makes sense, I'd say go for it. gatorcpa
Much better shape than this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1959-Omega-...stwatches&hash=item3f156c6989#ht_11328wt_1219Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Hmm question is if it's an all original ranchero , and not parts from different omegas ..... But maby i just have to take à chance
With this one, there will always be some risk - pictures overexposed and not in enough detail to give show the whole picture. Plus no returns or exchanges from the seller. At the very least it gives you pause.
