Hello dear Omega enthusiasts,

I was wondering if anyone could help me identify if this Omega is fake or not.
I've found it in eBay and would love to buy it but just want to make sure with the help of the internet and the opinion of people that know a bit more than me (I'm quite new in the watch game 馃榿)

I did find the serial number online and it says the watch was manufactured in 2008 (the buyer says 2017).
Is finding the serial number 100% sign it's real?

Super happy to hear your guys: opinion!
Thanks, David

Whatever you found online, it probably wont be accurate for a recent watch like that so don't bank on the 2008 date. That said, the box and book set does look older than 2017. Are there warranty cards with it? You can also get a rough date from the version number on the spine of the instructions book, but of course those items might have been added later. If he has the cards, show those as they are harder to fake or add convincingly, perhaps those are dated 2017. From those pics at least, nothing looks amiss. The deployant clasp is an earlier design by the way, in the past decade they have been more angular, that's the earlier more rounded design again suggesting it could have sat for a while before sale. Or was added to replace a missing bracelet. The PIC code on the cards (if present) would tell you if this is the case.

Thank you very much for your detailed response!
Unfortunately there's no original documents 馃檨
The price is 2400 pounds, which seems so cheap for a Speedmaster that looks that good, no??

Well its one of many Speedmaster branded watches, some sell for much more than others. Be careful that you are comparing like for like when you cross shop this. This is a 7750 based model and they are usually priced somewhere between the compound movement Reduced models and full fat 1861/3861 movement Pro models. I don't know that model intimately but I suspect it is an OK rather than a wonderful price. Especially since it is not a full set with no recent history of a service. If the seller provided the PIC code for the model, maybe take a look at eBay for sold listings of similar.

After a quick look, it might be this, maybe use the details here to search on comparisons:

Yes I can identify now that it has the 3304 movement. Is the 1861 movement better or is it just the more traditional, original one and therefore historical and more interesting to collectors?

Both are great movements, 1861 is manual wind and has an element of nostalgia and history to it, 3304 performs better in every technical sense though
