I´m looking at a mid 1960´s Seamaster, which in my (beginner´s) opinion looks good, however I have some questions related to the lume. While it has aged to a nice colour, I am concerned about the "consistency".

Does this look like a relume, or aged lume? Any other comments about this I should be concerned with?

Lume looks original but has seen some moisture and got puffy/flakey. It may be stable, it may keep degenerating...can’t really say.

Wait, looking at it again it looks like
Someone tried to touch it up...and not well...or it may just be the degeneration of the lume...it’s not in good shape

I was about to say it looks perfectly original and it's just the fact that the grey/blue dials from this period often exhibit more deterioration than you see on the white or even black dials.

However, the dial looks a bit off. Some of the second markers and script don't look right but this could be crystal distortion combined with a bad picture. Have you got some more photos?

    Thanks for the replies, interesting!

I didn´t think there were any issues with the script. What do you think of this pic?

The script just looks too thick and the 1/5 second markers don't look consistent.

I'm going to say this is due to the distance the pics are taken from (why are they all from a foot away?) and crystal distortion and go with all original.

I’m pretty sure it original, as is the dial, the lume just looks like melted marshmallow.
