2B73DE23-3A9C-4A51-AAA0-643C2F237A05.jpeg Evening all, I am interested to know your thoughts on this. My main concern is that almost all of this cal are conquests. I’m also not so sure about the number style. Do you think this is a redial? Thanks in advance A8CC4348-1965-413B-BE97-E3FEFBD99A72.jpeg F91EDCEC-7E7D-4C66-8E65-808AD839321E.jpeg

I would advise making your own thread before digging old ones up. You will certainly get better responses

    Longines worth collecting?
    NONE. Absolutely none.
Believe me, nothing there. But there are plenty of other nice subforums where you can find out about plenty of desirable brands: Omega, Universal Geneve, Zenith, Jaeger LeCoultre, so many better options.

However may I ask a question: why are you thinking of collecting watches that you’re not familiar wirh and enthusiastic about?
Is your purpose to invest and profit? And if so why should people give away for free their time and hard won knowledge in a highly competitive field?

What happened? The thread in which I posted the above has vanished.... and the post was a reply to someone asking what Longines watches to collect.

    Yeah, that's a bit weird.

Maybe the poster got 'cold feet'?

We found that thread. Must have been the full moon effecting the forum.

Actually, this first post was probably pulled out of that "Longines Worth Collecting" thread and turned into a separate thread.

@Psyche524 - that is most certainly a redial. I'd pass on that watch.

+1 on a redial. Also not sure about the hands, their style seems so different from the rest of the watch.
And yes, @ulackfocus was able to dig up that “Longines worth collecting” thread.
Turns out it was from 2012 which I hadn’t noticed when @Psyche524’s query initially bumped it.

@Psyche524 my reply was not directed at you since you explained you’re in the military and currently posted in Afghanistan.
    Thanks for your service.

Not so sure it's a redial

Compare the direction of printing on the 5 and the 7 for a big redial mistake, I think.....
