Is this Longines 13ZN dial factory original? I'm not sure...

I'm torn:

Reason pointing to it being not original:

1. The minute counter subdial is more off center than the left subdial.

2. The subdial hands are the same. usually, chrono hands are different.

3. The "10" is encroaching upon the constant seconds subdial. I don't believe that's supposed to happen.

4. I don't see Swiss Made - but it could be behind the glass.

Reasons pointing to it being original:

1. I've check a bunch of 13zn's and the minute counter subdial usually does seem a little farther away from the center than the constant seconds subdial.

2. The hands of the watch all seem to fit correctly. in their dial positions.

3. The dial seems at least moderately aged.

What do you guys think?

Looks like an older redial. The fonts are wrong.

The hour 12 seems misaligned with the 60-second mark above it. Or is it an optical illusion caused by a sweep hand that is not centered? Or bent? And why an open 6 at 60-seconds above the 12-hour, and open 6 at the 6-hour, but closed 6 on the constant seconds sub dial (at 9)?

I used to think I could spot redials a mile away but now...🙁

This one sold a few months back on ebay, out of the Ukraine. I believe the dial is a recent fabrication with faux aging. I understand the cravings for a 13zn, but I'd hold out for a better example.

If you have experience or help, you can snag nice stuff from South America. You need to know what Swiss markings are on your target so you can be sure it's not a South American locally made recase, you really need to see dial macros to assure originality, and you should be up to speed on the correct parts (crown style, crystal shape / magnifier, lug shape, etc) so you don't get a dud.

Stay away from watches from the Ukraine. Always.
