    Hello Omega lovers,
Recently I found an interesting piece. Seems to be Omega Ranchero circa 1952-54 according to movement which is cal 266. IMG_20190404_125418.jpg IMG_20190404_125628.jpg IMG_20190404_125643.jpg I happened to find some pictures of it but due to being inexpierienced I need to ask if this watch is worth consideration? Much thanks for help.

I believe rachero should be cal 267
Cal 266 is a seamaster cal
    Hands are not correct
    The reference should be 2990-1

    Cheers

    Hard to say
    So many diff models mixed
I wouldn’t buy it at all

    But - your choice

I know these are pretty rare and definitely something I don't have in my collection that's why I consider putting up original parts from this model which is pretty much everything except the case...

The movement can be bought on ebay for usd 100 max, the hands are fake, the dial is at least relumed, probably fake. So the only original is the movement but probaby belonged to another watch.

Movement itself is from seamaster from 50s so it's very long and time consuming project. I found some parts but half of them are very rare. It needs a deeper consideration at this point.

The case is badly overpolished IMO.

Very little value. Movement has some value.

Hands look weird. I’d personally avoid this

That watchwould originally have looked like this. I suggest you spend some serious time doing research.

    Not an original by far!
Don't bother spending your time or money on it

These appear to have become one of the most commonly faked/frankened/messed up watches. I think you should only consider one if you have the time to do some serious research and enough luck to find someone with an original one in good condition that is willing to part with it.
