Hello guys I am about to get my first Omega Speedmaster and I was looking at this 1750032. (reduced). I have only seen this with golden crowns and bezel as well so I was wondering if this is a modded version or if it's real? I found it on chrono with papers/box etc so I feel kinda safe, but I want a 100% original one for my first one. Any inputs would be highly appreciated.
Whether it's real or not, I think the steel case and gold dial furniture really don't go well together .
They are golden it's just the shadows and lightning. I really like the color combination so I hope someone recognize the model. He guarantees it's 100% authentic. Just curious why I've never seen it before like this.
Looks 100% legit to me. I've seen many examples in photo's of the hands appearing black on some angles, and shiny metallic in other angles, its all the lighting. In general, I don't think the Chinese replica makers go after the Speedmaster reduced, and since it looks like it comes with box and papers, that's an extra assurance its the real deal.
Looks ok to me. I do get a little skeptical when they don't include any photos of the center chrono hand reset to 12 o'clock. Could be hiding an issue there.
So they could come in various non seen color combinations without being modded? If I search the ref I can only find it all black and with gold crowns and that golden ring at the bezel. Thanks guys I appreciate all inputs. I may very well purchase this beauty.
Before you venture forth with the purchase, consider the condition of the case. In my opinion it looks as if it has been on the receiving end of a very enthusiatic polishing cloth to the degree that it appears warped, especially the lugs at 11 and 1 o'clock. I'd look for another one, personally.
I decided to go with the safe choice, a NOS 1999 speedmaster reduced, full set including papers/box. Thanks a lot for your inputs, I appreciate them. Very happy with my purchase. Time to find some cool straps for it now.
