Hi Can you help, I am new to omega collecting and have some suspicions regards this watch I am considering. could any one help with advice. many thanks, ukjay
Im not sure really but I just wondered if there was something obvious I was missing. It seems in very good condition for a late 70's / early 80's watch, here are some more pics.
Nothing is shouting out "fake"... its one of the less loved quartz variants... hope it's not expensive?
Looks perfectly fine to me. A word of caution regarding very old quartz watches. Make sure you get movement pics to see that there has been no battery or water leaks. Some quartz movements are obsolete and are very hard to repair when they go t!ts up. Mechanical watches of the same vintage or older, on the other hand, are much easier to maintain.
Looks legit, bracelet looks fine too - bear in mind these are an entry model, from a not particularly great place in Omega (or the Swiss watch industry's history), so have the quality to match...
Again, these weren't exactly high end... is it stamped with anything, anywhere? Here's one Fellow sold in 2014, different dial, but same reference: https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/...0041/lot-a7795f07-a2fa-451a-96fe-a3f900d750f5
Thanks I am happy with it now, it will be good entry level watch for my 14 year old nephew who has just started collecting.
