Just wondering your opinion. I think the crown is wrong and I don’t swirls on the caseback. Do casebacks always have swirls? I can live with the wrong crown.

Looks like rotor has been rubbing on the caseback. The movement photo is so overexposed it's easy to overlook the wide band of wear on the rotor. Also note the gouges in the upper left lug (near the springbar) and the really big one one towards the outside of the lower left lug.

In my opinion these overexposed photos, with their accompanying low resolution, are intended to make it difficult to see the flaws.

hey the price is $1,480. Based on your comments, am I correct that the caseback is wrong and the crown?

    I can't tell if the case-back says .016 or .018
IIRC the .016 should be day/date, the .018 just date
later 60s Connies (like the .010) didn't have the 'swirls' inside the case back.

the crown is wrong -it should be 'expressed' but fit inside the recess
the case is polished and damaged as mentioned before

These ref Connies have yet to 'hit their stride' and should be significantly less expensive than (even) their round-cased cousins the .004 and .010
A gold cap version in really good condition should be less than two-thirds of that asking price.

    hope that helps.
