The waffle pattern looks original, but clearer pictures of the text are needed to see if that part has been redone.

Waffle base looks very original, the minute track I’m less sure of. Appears remarkably crisp considering the age of the watch and the patina on the waffle, and it’s misaligned at the 4,5, 7 and 11 indices. That said, a quick google reveals examples of this reference with exactly this minute track, and in comparable condition, so it could very well be perfectly fine.

 

The misalignment is something that I noticed and sort of worried me. I'm hoping it is genuine. Do you think $500 is a fair price?

 

A waffle dial 14k for $500? Hmmmmmm. I’d like to know it’s service history before I went any further. If it’s recently serviced and you’re happy with the minor misalignment then it’s not an unreasonable price.
