I am trying to source an original box for a 1950s Omega Constellation De Luxe.

I have come across this one on eBay: http://r.ebay.com/1rT2GT

I know the price is crazy, but is this a box for a De Luxe, or for a non-De Luxe?

I don't know if there were separate boxes for the De Luxe and non-De Luxe models.

That box set is for an ordinary 50ies Connie. The DL and GL models should have a sterling silver box w wooden inside

Apart from the white padding in the lid, it's just like the one I have for my 1961 Constellation.

Looks like he's asking a €450 premium for the insert, which at least for me seems a little excessive .

The box is only for a cal. 504 Constellation Calendar. However, the silver box was an extra cost option with the deluxe versions.

Otherwise they would have come in that red box.

The price is ridiculous, if you ask me.
