My friend bought this watch several years ago. He wants to know if it a genuine omega.

In addition, he would like to purchase an original steel omega wristband for this particular watch.

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.. 20190612_191854_HDR.jpg 20190612_191840.jpg

I have yet to see that dial anywhere. Doesn’t mean much coming from me though

It appears to be a genuine Omega.
It's recently had the dial repainted in a fanciful interpretation of what an Omega Seamaster looks like in the eyes of the painter.

Edit: The best option for a bracelet would be an Omega "Grains of Rice" or "Beads of Rice" bracelet.

Definitely Omega. Definitely not how it came from the factory. "Fantasy" dial. Seen relatively often here on OF. Would also be curious to see what's inside.

A waste to spend any more money on this bad acid trip of a watch.

What? You don't like the colour combination? Or is it the lume?

    It was some good suspense:
    "Oh, another Omega Geneve"

thanks for all the info. We knew the dial was "refinished". The above mustard colored strap is very interesting. My suggestion to my friend was also the beads of rice wristband. There's already a lot of color going on in the dial itself.

    "Refinished" is quite an understatement.

I agree, I'm just trying to respect the "artist" who painted it..

Honestly, if you have a red dial, why not pair with a red-ish strap? Something to tone it down maybe? I just got this for my TinTin yesterday, so it may actually be a good pairing with this piece.
