I'm looking for my first Omega and trying to maintain a budget and this caught my eye. Could I get an expert judge on the condition? Thanks in advance
Crown is obviously not original. Case is overpolished. Can't say anything about dial with that photo. No pic of inner caseback?
Heavily polished, movement screws missing, corrosion on the screws indicates that there moisture has been involved - so you don´t know how it looks below the dial... and I don´t like the crown
I wont buy. He wanted $700 and if you guys liked then I was going to offer $550. if it had the original crown, not overpolished and no corrosion would $550 have been reasonable?
On the expensive side, plus we still don't know inner caseback ref. number to check if case and and movement match.
Also, the lack of "Seamaster" on dial raises questions. Some early SM weren't marked on dial but this watch doesn't look that old.
