I've been looking at a watch on ebay, it's been advertised as a Seamaster, but I thought they all had the watch name written on the dial and were all waterproof - this doesn't appear to tick either box: Is it actually a Seamaster? It's from 1950 with a cal 342 movement.
I honestly don't know what it was originally but it certainly isn't a seamaster anymore, that's a rather terrible redial job, don't go near it.
I actually did buy from him before a while ago - it was a Hamilton Putnam, numerals had definitely been touched up but other than that it was all good. Really don't like it when things have actually been changed and not disclosed though, especially at all-original prices.
This guys junk is well beyond all original pricing, its mostly just tarted up and over polished flash suitable for pimps and others of that ilk.
Is there any way to filter out these type of sellers including those icons of the original refinished dial in the sub continent? I am so sick of them cluttering up the system
Sure is- Here is an example of an eBay saved search that will look for Omega of the following calibers and which are Not Constellation and Excludes certain sellers I am not interested in seeing in my results. Customize to your liking. You can even put part of the sellers address if it shows up consistently in his listings. omega (342,343,344,352,354,333) -constellation -peachtree -addict -0070
Thanks Pitpro, I am still getting used to EBay. Why is it that every single arrow head dial has been destroyed in certain parts of the world and how come they have so many of them to abuse in the first place
