Well, if these are hands... I don't mind the "head only" moniker, fwiw. There are far, far worse linguistic transgressions going on in this hobby.
Do tell ... I'm in the mood for some linguistic transgressiony ranting. By the way, are those hands "original"?
Is the case back something like Bender's "Shiny Metal (blank)"? PS Always wondered about Clock Face vs Watch Dial. Wondering when the difference came to be. Very early on in watch making history I suppose. Some ancient clocks had no recognizable face to speak of.
Yes, the first photo is the watch head. This is common terminology used in the watch industry, and Omega uses it as well.
A Song of Ice and Fire is also highly misleading as it is not a song but a story. Game of Thrones also isn’t really a game. Does a wine bottle have a head when it has a “neck” and a “body”? Does a girl with a camel toe really have an actual camels toe? (Sorry about that one ) and monkey class when flying isn’t really for monkeys
Beer forms head and wine is often described with body... nevermind that wine can be made from feet stomped grapes and smell like... Anyway, nice watch! Carry on!
