Hello Omega Forums, I just picked up an Omega Seamster Deville at a local estate sale. After I brought it home and inspected it further I have some suspicions that it could be a replacement or tampered with dial.

first, I do not see any marking of "Swiss Made" or "Swiss" on the dial

Secondly if you look at the "automatic" text it is really close to the "Omega" text.

I am new to collecting Omegas and any help or info would be appreciated, Thanks. IMG_0593.jpg

Well, it certainly is not as nice as the watch on your avatar ;), sadly this new one is a redial. The case may be from a few different watches, smarter people will chime in on that though. It may be a top loader, so don’t try to take the back off until the above mentioned smart kids chime in.

Yes it's a top loader, meaning the movement comes out the front.

And as already noted the dial has been refinished and rather poorly.

    Thats what I thought, thanks.
Luckily it looks like the rest of the watch is original including the crystal which is Omega signed.
