This here is a Geneve '73, purchased from a trusted dealer. All the tritium on the markers and hands are legit, I just wanted to hear some input.

Seems to be original. Like you mentioned the lume at the end of the markers is a good indication it has not been redialed unless is the same color than the dial. Also, this is a 70's watch so it's not uncommon for it to be in decent shape. Once you get into the 60's or 50's then you need to pay more attention ;)

Very true, but a second opinion never hurt. I'm still on the hunt for a nice 60's Seamaster. Beautiful cats btw :)

There isn't anything about that dial that seems off to me, I believe it to be a really clean original dial.

Looks great to me. All the lume plots are even there. Now the big question: price?

Thanks! $811 USD, I also got pics of the movement, too.

I would expect the movement to look pristine with a dial like that.

That seems a bit extreme for a Geneve, that's minty Seamaster territory. I would expect half that, maybe $4-500 if it just had a service.

But you did say it was a dealer, and that always adds a premium, so from a store you didn't do too bad. My above comments were ebay/forum prices.

He already bought it so look at it this way, he got an extremely clean (approaching unicorn clean territory) watch, at a price he was comfortable with. I’ve paid new guy fees on junk watches that I instantly regretted.

You think so? I was originally looking at eBay but I saw too many Indian accounts and decided to just go to a trusted dealer who said it was just serviced. I got a pic of the movement above.

Totally understood. Sometimes it's just worth throwing a little more money at it to be sure you get the real deal that's ready to go. You may have found one this nice for $400 on ebay, but then would have to ship it to and from a watchmaker, and the cost of service etc, you would probably be close to where you are now.

The ebay "bargains" are rarely that.
