Is this a real Omega De Ville?

Hi,

I've recently acquired this Omega De Ville, put the pictures through google images to check the movement matches and the dial matches etc, so far so good but I'm wondering why on some of the models I've seen the "De Ville" part is italic and on mine it is not? I've also seen some which have the "Quartz" logo below the Omega logo instead of below the "De Ville" logo, is there a reason why these differences exist?

I'm also wondering why there is a clear plastic piece on the movement on some of these other watches when my one doesn't have this and the additional solder connections.

My model:

Other models I've seen:

Cheers,
James

Yes, it's a real Omega De Ville.

Because Omega kept changing things to appeal to broader market preferences.

It's possible that the electronic module (PN 1340 9600) was changed out due to failure. At the time Omega/Longines shared designs/movements so it could be a module from another compatible movement.

Sorry, not Longines, it was an Omega/Tissot collaboration.

I've seen others that look the same as mine so potentially it's just an updated design?
