Is This A Frankenwatch?

Something about that dial doesn't sit well with me. The T SWISS MADE T is sitting on the minute/subminute marks. I disagree with spiki about the cost. It has what looks to be an original bracelet. These sell for a lot. The bezel is correct. The case in decent shape. It has a 2 step case back. I wouldn't call it a Frankenwatch.

Do you mean that the "T SWISS MADE T" should have a smaller font? When comparing with pictures of other Speedys then it looks too big.
Otherwise I have found this, but that is a bit more expensive and without a bracelet.

Not bad. Not the original crown, but everything else looks good. Did you buy it?

I haven't bought it yet, but very tempted to do so. That the crown is not original is not a problem, I can live with that.

Well I intuitively don't like it, and I need to reason why...

The case looks over polished for my taste.

It looks like the shape of the lugs is very slightly altered through polish, and the double step on the case back is hard to discern.

The dial and and handset look dirty, rather than nicely aged. I don't mean they are dirty, they look dirty, rather than attractively aged. This can be the photograph, as it looks like this is photographed in a light box, and then enhanced - this never shows a watch in the best way. It is possible that in real life it looks good......possible.

Otherwise it is all present and correct - it is just that each of the correct items are not nice, to me, in this light.

All of you know more about Speedmasters then I ever will, so I am happy for all the advices you are giving me.

This is what the seller said about it:
"Thanks for you interest in the speedmaster, this watch was purchased from the original owner. Everything on the watch is original as it was sold. The case was lightly polished to remove any surface scratches and the movement has been stripped , cleaned, oiled and rebuilt only using original omega parts if they were needed. We guarantee all our watches for two years from date of sale. This model is sold on a leather strap as pictured. If you would like to view the watch please let me know what weekday I best for you. We are vacate in Ealing west London"

Why do they do that 🤦. Unpolished ones are hard to find.

I tolerate light polishing on vintage dress watches and really strongly prefer no polishing for the sports watches like this one. I would say this is a pass - polishing on the case is a dealbreaker for me.
