    It is from Argentina. Seller claims that the dial is original. Serial number on movement checks out to be from the time period claimed. Not sure about the case number though. Also the coloring on the movement seems uniform suggesting original movement. Just trying to get a feel for it considering the required purchase amount is larger than most vintage watches I've looked at. Thanks!

    Not sure about it being a Franken but it does look like the dial has been repainted. The minute markers look very clean for a watch that is 60 years old

    What kind of servicing issues would I run into with a watch like this?

    If you don't want to make a "poor investment", then do not buy a redial which this watch has. The case, movement etc may be fine but the dial destroys its value as a collectible.

    Watch is worth less than half of asking price. Not worth investing time, IMO.
