I bought this Omega constellation watch from a Malaysian seller at ebay. I paid about USD 750 to them. The serial number is 1448/431.6. The back side of the watch may be different from an original one. Thank you for your help!

The seller of this watch has a negative feedback for selling a counterfeit watch.
As you mention about the case back being different, the seller is careful not say it is original Omega, he advertises it as:
BACKCASE: Original Stainless Steel back case with Omega Constellation logo,

The good news is you will be able to get your money back from eBay /PayPal when you sent the watch back and if I was you it would be on it way back now make sure it recorded or signed for that way you have proof of delivery. For that type of money you will get a good honest watch from the privet sale here on OF .......

It's a shame this seller charges such a high shipping cost, nearly $60 on this one, which you would not get a refund on. Also, according to his feedback, he does not expedite shipping as claimed, thus the estimated delivery of 16-18 days.. But as mentioned, you would need to ship back with a confirmation status so there isn't a claim that it was never received, probably another $50.. A near $100 lesson to ask for opinions "before" purchasing..

You can claim a refund on outward bound shipping if item is not as described.

Yes.. but, he described the caseback appropriately. He did not claim it was original/real.
Now if the watch is a fake, that is a different story..

I don't know how any conclusions can be drawn from the pixelated picture of the case back. Watch looks legit to me, and I would assume the case back is good as well.

    Great example!
Not only does it show a different font size on the caseback but also shows a difference on the "gold" tube links which are yellow all the way through.. interesting..

Today I went to a pawn shop I was told that this was not an Omega watch.

Did they tell you how they know it's fake? Did they take the caseback off?
I agree with the other member who thinks it's genuine. The caseback looks correct for case ref 396.1070.
It should have cal. 1438 inside.

Yep, that's where I'd go for confirmation of a watch. I've never seen a fake watch in a pawn shop.

    <end sarcasm>

Did they take the back off and check the movement?

Based on your photo's it could be a fake or it could be genuine and until we see a picture of the movement we will never know.

But my money is on genuine until I see the movement.
