Kinda... thick bezel and tall rehaut, both move it a bit away from dressy. Pretty piece but seems toolish.
Reminds me a bit of a Rolex Explorer but irrespective of what category there are a LOT of really nice JLCs and that IMO at least is not one of them.
Same price for a reverso classic medium thin or medium small seconds on leather and those are nice dress watches. They are basically the same thickness .1 mm difference. Or go up to the large small second for a little more if you have a large wrist. These are very huntable used at a discount. If price is not an option JLC has much better options out there.
I quite like the design, but it does look cheaply finished to me and syringe hands with no lume are totally ridiculous IMHO
Depends of your definition of dress. It is however, another example of a watch where a date window destroyed an otherwise simple/elegant dial symmetry...
Ok, i really like the Watch, but I need to sort my outfit now. In that case are these clothes Business Casual or Smart Casual. ........and do you think that they’re suitable attire for me to go up into my attic and retrieve my golf clubs? Oh and socks or no socks? I shall let the Forum decide, no rush I’ll just wait here on the first rung. Hurry up though or I’ll have to post in the Vintage Forum and other Watch Brands......if I hear nothing from you in 10 minutes then the abuse will start.
I’d wear it for dress up occasions. It’s not like you were wearing red flip flops with a formal tux. But who knows. In these days of wretched excess, maybe that’s been done too.
No, but most are willing to accept a Rolex Submariner as a dress watch. Certainly dressier than a sub IMO.
