Hi

I just seen an ad to a local website from my country and i was very intrigue about it. Never seen a Bond watch like that..Marked on the lugs "Not" "For" "sale" and "BT-250"

Thank you for your opinions regarding this watch...
Worth to buy it?? 😀

Here are the pictures from the ad..

After inquiring about an X-33 marked "not for sale" for servicing and an extract, the omega boutique in my area said that Omega will keep the watch if it shows up as being stolen at any point. So I guess it is a gamble if the watch was stolen from Omega or if it was handed out as a promotional item. It is more likely a promotional hand out or used in movies. Do a search on the forum for the x-33 to see what I mean.

Whatever it is, I would buy it and then ask for questions 😁

I doubt it is a prototype - more likely someone replaced the minute hand with one from the sword-hands version at some point. Either way, I would not want to have a watch marked “Not for Sale” in my collection unless I had papers from Omega stating it has been released for purchase, especially not a bog standard Seamaster with a replaced minute hand.

There's no way that Watchco built that as a prototype with that handset, that's for sure. Horrible combination.

The sword hand isnt the real oddity, its a 2531.80 dial with a cal 2500 movement. That combination plus the not for sale makes me think it is possible it was an internal test piece. I’d not be buying it without knowing what the origins are.

It’s some kind of franken, so not anything I would spend money on...

Bad idea but I have some magic beans you might be interested in. Send $5K to my PO box and I'll be in touch.

As far as I researched, not for sale watches are replacements for customers while their watch is at a service. Also, lot of watches in press releases bear that mark.😕
