just after thoughts on this I’ve come across as I really don’t fancy getting stung!!! 501 movement?
The case back seems to have “patent pending” in wrong place? Should alarm bells be ringing? Any advise would be great

It would help to see the rest of the watch, especially the outside of the back, bezel and closeups of the dial.

All -8 subreference casebacks I've seen looks like yours. All with "PP" and all placed like yours. For the rest of the watch, well ... what's the serial number?

not a fake for sure...the hands have been replaced or relumed. The bezel is hard to say from these images. Otherwise looks fine.

You need to make sure the serial number is in the correct range, just ask on here for others to compare theirs. Only an extract will tell you the most accurate information. I hope you’ve got deep pockets for a 2913 lol

Take a look at this one

    https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-seamaster-300-2913-3.64766/

Very rare bezel and bracelet though but serial number close to yours which is good.

Price is difficult to say given the photos, but I’d personally say around £13-15k, if the seller isn’t in a rush you can always get an extract first, worth the £100 if you’re spending that much

The 2913-8 was the last 2913 reference which was produced up until 1961, I believe. Is anyone concerned that the movement number is too low?

    yes.
    My 2913-6 is 16,501,XXX and 14755-1 is 18,260,XXX

I would think a 2913-8 should be between this range.

I haven't seen serial 16462x on any 2913 after the -6 subreference, which was produced about a year before the -8 batches (mid 1960 vs. mid 1961). Not saying it's not correct, but I would check with Omega extract. You will of course not get the subreference confirmation, but you'll get the production date, and if not produced in 1961, if would say something is off!

Wrong back perhaps? I’m beginning to think it’s too good to be true and should walk

Gemini and Cajun are the gurus, trust in what they say.

Like I said you can always take a risk with an extract?
