Hello omega forum !

I am fishing for my first Vintage Watch after reading the how to fish thread.
I am thinking about buying this watch. Is it genuine and is 500 € an ok price ? i do really like the aesthetics of the watch and the dial seems to be correct according to omega database.
It is supposed to be a Omega seamaster 166.0202
with cal 1010 movement

I also feel like Cal 1XXX has a bad reputation on this forum why is that ?

Thanks !

Some see this as a low point in the products offered. This was the height of the quartz crisis.

There was some cost saving effort in these. Not bad watches in many ways, they were practical watches at a practical time. There is nothing inherently wrong with them. Just that the stuff that came before and after is better.

To me the price seems high. That is what the Omega name does. For the price indicated one can get a much better watch from the 1950s or 1960 which are easier to work on.
