    Hello,
A local seller is selling this 1960s seamaster deville for around $320. I would appreciate it if you could tell me if the watch is the real thing. Thanks

Is this already a good deal for the price? I am still waiting for a picture of the movement. This would be my first omega if ever. I am jumping from seikos to this haha.

Price is reasonable. Some slight damage to the dial at 11 o'clock and something going on with the crystal between 5 and 7. Crystal may have a crack letting moisture in and corroding the tension ring inside the crystal.

Figure in the cost for servicing $100-200.

I think I see T's next to the Swiss Made but I do not see any indication of lume on the hands or next to the indices. But it could be the grainy pics.

Thank you. I appreciate the help. Should I pull the trigger already or is it really necessary to wait for the pictures of the movement

    Hi there,
With above valuable comments of respectful OF members, and according to DeVille handbook (I am kidding), watch is legit. Though you are ready to pay $320 + possible service of $100 - $200. Better wait for pictures of movement and caseback reference. Be patience, just in case.
    Good luck.

    For information, DeVille handbook below.

The Seamaster Devilles of the late 60s were produced in fairly high numbers and come up quite often at auctions. With some patience (and perhaps a bit of luck) you’ll be able to find one with a clean dial in the $350-400 range.

    Hello guys,
Thank you for all the information and feedback you provided. I wasn't able to buy the watch after all. The asshole seller sold it to another person even after agreeing to hold the item for me while I wait for the picture of the movement. Hope you'll be helpful again when I find another deal.

Keep looking and there will be a better one. Price is secondary, condition comes first and I don't like that brown staining at 5-7. You have not lost out.

For the record, grabbing a photograph of the movement on a watch with a frontloading case like this one isn't something anyone can just do. It takes some skill + equipment to do it, not sure I'd want someone not very familiar with the proces doing it for me.

The upside is that the cases are very well secured against moisture ingress. If the case looks good and there are no discernible signs of degradation on the dial and the price was good, I'd be willing to gamble on a nice-looking movement and time. It might turn out to have movement issues, but those would probably be something that you couldn't tell from a movement photo anyway.
