Is this 1940's Longines the real deal?

Hello OF, I found an interesting Longines and wanted to put it on trial before all of you experts :)

The seller claims this Longines is from the 1940's. 38mm case (not incl. crown), manual winding movement. That is all I know about the watch - is this an authentic Longines? If so, has the dial been repainted? Or is this watch a fake? The paint seems a little rough in some areas and doesn't seem as faded as one would expect...also lume in center of hands doesn't match the rest of the dial? The font / numerals all seem consistent though so perhaps a good redial?

    Thanks!

I don't recognize that movement as a Longines product.

No apologies needed! It's part of the learning and we've all been there
