Is there any "ranking" concerning VIXA, Airain, Dodane & Co.?

Hi OF,

simple question? I would list the (affordable) T20 group as these four:

Dodane, Airain, Vixa, Chronofixe

Any (your collectors) "ranking"?

Merci!

He talked about the affordable ones 😉 But your list is missing the Auricoste!

For me:

Vixa
Dodane (airain, Chronofixe, basically the same watch)
Auricoste

Merci @ all. For the "affordable" ones , I would say or agree or guess 😉:

Vixa Auricoste ( if no alloy parts)

Airain

Dodane Chronofixe

Indeed, I forgot to mention Auricoste.

Three more questions: 1 Auricoste -> any alloy parts used? and: 2 all of them officially mil-approved and used?
3 Any differences concerning T 20 T 21?

thx

Just kept one Dodane and the VIXA. What really makes them special, all were C.E.V. , French Air Force Test Center, watches.

Auricoste is all steel for the CEV issued model only, and alloy for the Marine Nationale

Mine is M.N. Issued, 1954 . Hands were replaced by the Vixa type at one point by the military horological service back then. I think it suits the watch very well overall.

I wore it on duty too 😉

Got a Dodane type 21 too, no FG markings on the caseback, either ALAT issued or civilian market, I don’t know for sure

I would love to add a Vixa to my collection one day ….

Merci! Interesting.

Thanks , Ludi, very fine watches! 👌

Guess, I will go for a Dodane.

M.N. Auricoste would be my keeper. I had the Breguet version with confirmation from the Breguet Boutique in Paris and sold that many years ago . That was a real looker !
