Is The Grey Side of the Moon Still Worth it in 2025?

I bought a plain Jane hesalite Speedmaster from the Geneve Boutique in June 2017. Retail on the watch was CHF 4,700, after export tax rebate it would have been CHF 4,352, but they charged me CHF 4,100 which was a 5.8% discount (4,100/4,352). Plus they threw in an Omega strap and deployant buckle which was a CHF 610 bonus. But I doubt they would do that today, they have tightened up on discounts.
Interesting, which Swiss OB?

One of my favorites. Bought it used on the grey market tho. Would not have paid list price for it. Already had 4 hesalite speedies but always ended up selling them because they were getting too boring over time for me. Have the GSOTM for a little over 2 years now and it is always a joy to put it on.

Awesome! Think I'm going to go for it, and also add the black fabric strap from the DSOTM just in case I want some variety. It'll also fit my PO Oreo, in case I don't like it with the GSotM

Yeah, I've asked at a few different OBs around the World this year: various in Seoul, various west coast US, Berlin, Zurich, lots of airports, etc and all have said MSRP only.

I know the ownership of the OBs varies, so that's likely a factor; private OBs are probably more like ADs and might offer discounts or other incentives.

For me, deal hunting isn't luxury so I don't care from a buyer's perspective, but I am interested in the product & business development.

I was advised by a UK OB that head office is dictating the boutiques do not give any discounts now, no free straps etc. Not sure if that's a global policy.

I got an Omega hat with the white speedy, and a real Omega springbar tool with my FOIS at the OB. The hat I don't wear because it's red. My AD offers to pay the sales tax but that's it.
