Is the gap normal? And how many mm is this watch?

Good evening! I doubt if it is normal for the crown to have this "gap", which can be seen in the pictures. One more question, the watch seems smaller than in the pictures, and I'm afraid it won't be a "lady" version. The watch was sold as a 36mm watch.

The crown should screw down, so try to turn it clockwise while pushing it in. Can you measure the diameter of the bezel?

The crown is screwed as far as the clock allows. Unfortunately, I don't have anything to measure ... I saw that the "lady" edition doesn't have a helium valve, so should I understand that it's the medium edition?

It's not clear whether you own this watch and what size you actually want?

These did some in three sizes, assuming I'm remembering right. 42mm, which I have a different style of the same thing, in that size, 36mm as you mention, a mid-size unisex-version, and a smaller one, I want to say 28mm? intended for the women.

If you're buying this watch for a specific woman, many who are not petite little flowers (so to speak) can wear a 36mm if they like to. 28mm is better for those more slender ladies.

As for the crown, I would have it looked at. It might be cross-threaded, and that woulld be bad.

I already own the watch, and it's for me, I'm a boy and I have a thin wrist. I hope this version is 36mm and not the 28mm version. Reference code: 25518000

How did you buy the watch without knowing the size? It sure looks like 36mm, unless there's some real magic being done to the pictures; do you not have a ruler? Your phone can measure stuff, too.

Looks to me from the pictures like the 36mm. I don't think the 28mm (which I think was quartz only) had the helium valve.

The crown is screwed as far as the clock allows.

It does not appear to be screwed all the way in, but it's hard for us to say if something is wrong with the crown/tube or if the problem is due to user error. I think you might want to enlist some in-person help with the watch. Maybe someone with a ruler.

Put it on and look at it. Do you like it? Is it the right size for you? The measurement is unimportant.

You can tell it’s the mid size not the full size because there’s no lumed market to the outside of the date window, I believe.

As said by the poster above, the actual measurements don’t matter - if it fits and you like how it feels and looks, it’s all good.

It is definitely the 36mm midsize version, but it doesn’t appear the crown is screwed in all the way. As others have suggested, pull the crown out, then turn CCW before screwing in. If you can’t get it to work, take to a watchmaker for evaluation. Probably needs a service if you just purchased it. Never trust sellers descriptions if they say “works great.”

Excuse me, please, this is the first quality watch I've bought. I asked because in the pictures it seemed much bigger, and in reality it is smaller, and I was afraid that I would have been tricked and that the 28mm version would actually be. In the ad, it clearly wrote the reference code 2551.80, 36mm. But I was afraid it wouldn't be the 28mm version, because it's small.

Oh! I didn't know the lady version was just quartz.

Looks like a nice watch and congratulations on your first nice watch! As has been said, it’s a screw down crown so either it isn’t fully engaged in the pics, or is cross threaded. As Don said, the best way to avoid cross threading is the turn is backwards slowly as you push in and you will feel it click into place on the threads, then turn to screw it down. It’s all about finesse and never brute force.

Yes, I bought it just 3 days ago. I'll keep it away from the water until I take it to the service.
